How do I become a member?

Simply click on the blue 'Become a member' button on the left hand side of the page and follow the on screen instructions. It only takes a few seconds!

You'll notice at the bottom of the page you will have to fill out a 'captcha code' (a series of numbers and letters) to help us stop spamming. Just type in the word you see in front of you.

How secure is it to give my email address?

Very safe. We don't pass on email addresses to 3rd parties, so you won't be spammed with unwanted emails. To be extra safe it's a good idea not to use the same password for your Dining In Doha account as you do for your email account.

I've forgotten my password. What can I do?

Don't worry – simply click the link that says 'forgotten password' on the left hand side of the homepage. Enter your email address and the captcha code and a password reminder will automatically be sent it to your email account.

Do you have any information on what is happening in Doha?

Yes, there's Features section that includes all of this. Here you can read interviews with chefs, celebrities and important people living in Doha. We also have special events – you'll find all the information plus more here – simply click on 'features' on the navigation bar at the top of the page.

I own/manage/work for a restaurant in Doha, but it is not listed on Dining In Doha? How do I get my restaurant on the site?

Our team has worked hard to collect and source information for all restaurants in Doha but with new restaurants opening it is inevitable that we will have missed some out. To add a new restaurant you will first need to register as a member and log in. When you are logged in click 'Add a new restaurant' button the left hand side of the page. When you've filled in all the details, we will check them over before publishing them to the site.

I've found some information that appears to be incorrect?

Our team has tried their upmost to collect correct data and information but should you find an error then please send us an email and let us know at info@diningindoha.com.

How much does it cost for my restaurant to be included on the website?

Nothing, its completely free! Our aim is to include restaurants from all ends of the spectrum and so by not charging, we are ensuring that every restaurant gets included in our guide.

Who reviews the restaurants for your website and how are they scored?

We have a panel of food critics who review each restaurant individually. When ever possible we endevour to visit the restaurant 'undercover' without the management or staff knowing we are reviewing it. The review is broken down into 3 categories and then given an overall score. The categories are 'Food, Environment and service'. Each category is rated by taking into account all of the following:

FOOD

1. Quality of food & ingredients– taste, texture etc
2. Presentation of food– aesthetics of dish, temperature, etc
3. Portion of meal– adequacy of size
4. Value for Money– all of the above in comparison with the dish's price

ENVIRONMENT

1. Décor of Restaurant– interior and exterior
2. Cleanliness of Restaurant
3. Comfort of Restaurant– seating, tables, surroundings

SERVICE

1. Helpfulness and competency of staff on arrival to restaurant
2. Promptness of drinks order taken and delivered
3. Presentation of Staff– Smartness / appearance
4. Promptness of menus delivered, food order taken and food delivered
5. Promptness of food cleared after meal
6. Timing of bill delivered after meal
7. General helpfulness and friendliness of staff during dining experience

I want to advertise my business on the website. How do I do it and what are the prices?

Advertising on Dining in Doha is a great ways to showcase your business. We are the number one website for dining in the city and have thousands of people logging on every month. We have various Marketing Managers in the city who are ready to email you quotes, information and meet you in person to discuss the different packages available. How do I get my restaurant to become a Sponsored Link?

Sponsored links are a great way to advertise your restaurant as it's one of the most popular pages on the site. Simply send an email to one of our Marketing Managers on advertising@diningindoha.com and they will get back to you asap.

I own / work at a restaurant listed on your website and i don't feel your review is fair. What can I do?

We understand that restaurants change. A restaurant that we feel is not great one year, may become our favourite the next. Or vice versa. We therefore endevour to re-review each restaurant we list, one a year. If you feel your restaurant has changed since our review was written and that our review does'nt now fairly reflect your restaurant, then you can invite our critics back for an un-schedued re-review. We always review in pairs, as we feel that it's fairer than just one person. We review annonymously, but will introduce ourselves after the meal if you desire. To invite us back to re-review then simply drop us an email at info@diningindoha.com with your name, your restaurant name and a telephone number and we will contact you. As we always review undercover, we will never give a specific date or time as to when we will visit, but will tell you a period of 7 days in which we will come.
