About The Restaurant

The decor here is a mock authentic trying to give the impression one could be in the heart of an Italian village. The restaurant is large - providing a smoking and non-smoking area. When we entered we were greeted with a smile from the staff and made to feel immediately welcome. The food itself was average - fresh seafood salad, home made bread with oil and vinegar, beautifully cooked steak and impressive authentic pasta. The food tasted fresh, light and wholesome. The service should be mentioned also as the waiters were attentive but not interfering. We would have liked to have had some authentic Italian music in the background whilst we dined to complete the great atmosphere.

In January 2012 Cucina launched it's Friday Brunch which when we attended was exquisite. There was a wonderful salad bar full of the freshest, tastiest seafood (salmon, muscles and prawns) as well as breads and many other delights. Once you have sampled this, the waiters will bring you home made pizza, pasta dishes, beef and mashed potato as well as a dessert. If you are looking for a brunch with plenty to eat and sample then this is your place.

Had dinner there twice this past week. Service is not bad but they're just starting up...supervisors need to be better on their toes and spend more time talking to guests. Food and beverages are really very good. Ribeye steak is excellent and flavorful. Also recommend the seafood platter - nice large prawns in the plate.

We dined there 23/11/11... a family of 4. The service was lovely and friendly, however the food was poor. Daughter\'s pizza, good. My son\'s lasagne was dry and the meat of low quality, and tasted awful. My mushroom risotto was extremely disappointing, it was more a mix of dry chinese mushrooms mixed with italian... bad combo. Husband\'s linguine with seafood average. The chianti we were recommended to go with our meals was also average. It was very disappointing paying for the meals. We will return to our trusted favourite Carluccios where you get great food and wine everytime.

This restaurant is a good place to discover a new taste in Doha. We were 2 times there and we were satisfied with food quality, service and price. Pizza, pasta, cold starters and soup were very tasty. Price is normal. Very recommended.

great great pizza! service needs big time improvement! something to work on.. takes too long, staff is not attentive and need more training. the hostess is great! extremely friendly pizza is the only thing i can eat here, pasta and others are not the best. but pizza is truly amazing, thin dough, and great ingredients. Price is very good, value for money. I wish they had draft beer, because it goes great with good pizza.

Went here yesterday for my partners birthday and we had a great time! The food was great - i could have just eaten from the salad bar it was that good. But instead all sorts of dishes came out. The staff even sang happy birthday to my partner and gave him a cake and candle to blow out. I didn't ask for all that but was impressed they did it anyway. One thing i would say is that there isn't much time to breathe in between the dishes as they all seemed to come out very quickly. We shall go back soon!

This restaurant makes you feel as though you are truly in Italy. The pizzas are the best in doha. The lasagna is also very good! I've been back 5 times. They need to improve the dessert menu though

My husband and I recently dined at Cucina and our first impressions were quite good. Although the restaurant was empty (we arrived shortly after it opened), staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant looked very clean and well presented. I was eagerly awaiting my food, but I have to say that when it came, both my husband and myself were very disappointed. Visually the food looked good, but on tasting it we found it not very tasty at all. I had pasta with chicken in a cream sauce and it was very very oily. My husband had the Bolognaise Lasagne and the taste was not very good at all - almost as though it had been made days previously and had been reheated from frozen - very bland indeed! We complained to our waiter, who in turn informed the Manager and he offered to replace my pasta as he agreed that it was far too oily and shouldn't have been prepared with so much oil. I declined the offer, as it really had put me off eating that dish so in fairness, he did offer us a coffee or a dessert instead. In short, the service was good, but the food fell far short of our expectations and we won't be returning. Glad that we used an Entertainer voucher for our meal, as to pay full price would have been unjust.
