‘Mykonos’ – a small but beautiful island of the coast of Greece is well known for its stunning landscape and exciting nightlife and entertainment. Well now Doha has its very own Mykonos and very cleverly it manages to live up to same reputation as the island. Set within the Intercontinental Hotel, this is an exciting addition to the hotel’s already impressive list. Located by the pool and to the side of the beach the restaurant consists of both an inside area and an outdoor terrace. While the inside is crisp and slick with every addition to the restaurant carefully planned and thought out, it is also welcoming and inviting. The outside terrace is sophisticated and rather magical – and having a view of the pool, sea and city earns it a place as having one of the best views in the city. The excellent food is hard to describe as a result of its sheer perfection. The Greek salads were perfectly dressed; the fish melted in the mouth and the octopus the best we have had in Doha. The cocktails on offer do not disappoint either – the rose water infused vodka topped off with lavender was just a pure delight. This restaurant has a lot going for it – beautiful food, idyllic location, welcoming staff – naturally this does come at a price and as a result it won’t be for all but if you fancy something a bit different and want to try some authentic Greek food then Mykonos is most definitely the place to go. We can't get enough of it.
